Product of Suburbia was formed in the summer of 2001. At the helm was Joe Suburbia, his mates of equal importance were, Kim, Louis, and Pat. Playing two house shows and one in the park would be the only public appearance with this line up. Louis left the band and was replaced by Alex. The diy recordings this band produced(one with Louis and one with Alex) received little response, except from those who thought is was terrible. Playing only two shows with Alex, one at Joe's house and one at the Cobalt Cafe, again the band disappeared. Around the same time as California Redemption was formed, Joe once again put the band together. This time he would be the only ranking member. On drums Tyler, bass Taylor. Returning as a three piece, and recording with Nightrider Studios, P.O.S. as it was commonly called (for more than one reason), the new band debuted at the Cobalt Cafe. The 6 song demo the band had was given out until there was none left. For the first time Product of Suburbia was well received, though short lived. Hooking up with California Redemption the band played several shows between the Loft in Ventura, and the Cobalt Cafe. The band released a full length self titled album after the third show with the new line up. Though a follow-up titled Sacrifice was planned, it was never recorded. After a few shows, the band decided a second guitarist was needed. Joe's first and only choice was Pat from the band Loki. A long time friend of Joe made the addition easy. In fact it has been claimed that Joe stole Tyler from Loki after jamming with them at a practice. The last venue based show of the now four piece was at Studio S in Hollywood, CA. The final appearance of P.O.S. was at Tyler's going away party on New Years eve of some year, maybe 2004. The band played several new songs, including the infamous Summertime Blues cover, as well as Oh Yeah Cow Bells. Most were happy to see the band finally die. Tyler moved away, Taylor disappeared, Pat kept on with Loki for a while then it died. Pat and Joe still hang out. Joe also disappeared from the scene and friends shortly after the death of his band. Joe has recently resurfaced with former show mates, California Redemption, as the second guitar player.
